We Take Wellness and Safety Seriously

We’re Calistoga’s original wellness resort, after all. Since the 1970s, caring for you has been our priority. As we reopen our doors this fall, that sentiment holds true.

We want you to feel good and have fun. That’s why we’ve enacted safety measures from top to bottom. We want your stay to be stress free—our mineral pools and mud baths will help with that. Our newly reimagined, wellness resort setting is ideal for social distancing, and we look forward to welcoming you this fall.

Clean & Well Protocol

We’re working every day to ensure the safety of our guests and team from the moment we open our hearts and doors this fall.

  • We’ll use hospital-grade disinfectants, focusing on high-touch surfaces, including the lobby, guest rooms, and resort grounds, including lounge areas in our courtyard, spa garden, backyard, spa, and mineral pools.

  • Our staff is trained on COVID-19 protocols, including proper use of masks, hand washing, prevention of transmission, and procedures if a case is suspected or confirmed.

  • We require our hotel associates to wear protective gear within all areas of the hotel.

  • We ask that hotel guests follow the same protocol of mask-wearing, hand washing, and utilizing hand sanitizer stations that have been placed throughout the property.

  • Throughout the property, guests and associates are guided by social distancing reminders, signage, and gathering spaces that have been strategically configured to promote social distancing.

You’ll Stay Well: Welcome Experience

  • We will text you prior to arrival with options for touchless check-in and key access.

  • We’ve added partitions at our front desk to provide an extra level of precaution for our guests and associates, and continue to provide warm service throughout your stay.

  • We’ve supplied protective masks, gloves, and hand sanitizers to our front desk associates. These supplies are also available to guests upon request.

  • Open-air, outdoor paths connect the resort amenities, guest rooms, and lobby.

  • Private gathering spaces are available for small groups. Buyouts are also available.

You’ll Sleep Well: Guest Room Experience

  • 50 newly renovated guest rooms open to the outdoors.

  • We’ve cleaned all surfaces thoroughly with hospital-grade disinfectants, including extra disinfection of frequently touched areas, including light switches, door handles, TV remotes, and thermostats.

  • We'll place a room seal on doors to indicate that rooms have not been accessed since being thoroughly cleaned.

  • We’ll provide housekeeping in guest rooms only when requested.

  • We’ve limited all non-essential items (i.e. paper, pens). These items are available by request.

You’ll Feel Well: Mineral Pools

  • Our mineral pools are naturally detoxifying and nourishing. Our waters have been classified by The Balneology Association of North America (BANA).

  • We’ll sanitize all pool furniture often, ensure our lounge areas promote social distancing standards, and we’ll keep an eye on occupancy.

  • We monitor our mineral pools throughout the day to ensure healthy conditions are provided.

You’ll Be Well: Spa Experience - Opening Mid-November

  • We look forward to opening the wellness spa in compliance with state and local guidelines.

  • We’ve created a streamlined wellness spa experience, with social distancing standards baked into our appointment schedule, private mud bath experiences, soaking pools, and treatment rooms.

  • We'll provide you with a mask, footwear, and robe prior to your treatment.

  • New, outdoor treatment rooms, falling water treatments, and outdoor lounge space promote wellness and tranquility.

You’ll Eat Well: Dining Experience

  • We offer elevated, counter service at House of Better, with ample outdoor space.

  • We’re opening our restaurant with at least six feet of distance between tables and line markers to ensure social distancing between parties.

  • Guests can view and order from online menus, order by phone, or request single-use paper menus in person.

  • We’ll enact and enforce a system to sanitize counter space, tables, and seating areas between guests.

  • Our restaurant staff is required to wear masks, complete training on hygiene and disinfecting practices, and practice safe food prep and service.

Stay well with us.

Wellness has always been our thing. We hope you’ll stay well with us. With our new, added health and safety protocols in place, you may even leave better than you came. We look forward to welcoming you to Calistoga’s original wellness resort.
